chevron_rightWhere are the Fire Hydrants in SLR? There are NO fire hydrants in SLR. We learned this quickly when a homeowner’s barn caught on fire. The standpipes throughout the neighborhood are for water maintenance purposes (purging/flushing), and are too small for pumper truck requirements. Drawing off the lake might be a small possibility, but that’s up to the fire professionals. You can confirm with the Smith County Fire Marshal’s office and also check the Smith County ESD2 website (smithcountyfire.org).
There you will find a link to the hydrant locations under the "For Insurance Agencies" on the home page. -
chevron_rightWhy is the neighborhood split on schools? How does that work? SLR is serviced by both Van ISD and Lindale ISD. Bus service is provided.
